Hunter College, programming and pre-design

The Hunter College Library is being re-imagined for the 21st century to become the intellectual heart of the Hunter College by providing spaces for learning, information, support, and retail - as well as physical collections.

The Information Commons occupies the 2nd through 5th floors of the library. Within the adjacent floors of the information commons are the technology commons (2nd floor), reading rooms and spaces for individual and collaborative study. The Learning Commons fills a majority of the 6th and 7th floors. On the east sides of these floors are an auditorium, classroom and seminar rooms in a variety of sizes.
